Job summary

AEW Automotive Inc. seeks a seasoned Process Engineer to own and improve mass production standards in our facility in Guanajuato, Mexico. You will lead CQI-17 compliant processes, develop OPs, PFMEAs, and control plans, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency across production lines.

You will document changes, support customer audits, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure continuous improvement and optimal equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related engineering field.
• 5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
• CQI-17 certification or training, or 5 years of experience in electronic assembly, automotive wiring harnesses, SMT, or consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and improve process standards as local owner.
• Lead process problem-solving to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and equipment preservation.
• Ensure compliance with CQI-17 – Special Process Assessment for Electronic Assembly.
• Maintain and update operational documentation (Standardized Work Sheets, Operating Instructions, Visual Aids, Work Methods).
• Maintain part numbers and PBOMs in ERP; ensure customer requirements and critical characteristics are met.
• Keep cycle times and machine capabilities current and drive continuous improvement.
• Update PFMEAs, PFDs, and Control Plans using VDA formats for mass production.
• Evaluate and approve new production lines; manage engineering change actions.
• Participate in problem-solving activities and internal plant meetings; support audits.
