Lyft is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join the Privacy team, building systems that make privacy the default. You will work with engineering, product, legal, and compliance on high-impact projects, from data redaction pipelines to enabling user privacy rights.

You will lead large projects from idea to execution, write robust code, and promote engineering best practices across the organization.

Formación

• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go).
• Exposure to at least one operational or analytical data system (e.g., DynamoDB, Aurora, Redis, Databricks).
• Proficient in at least one query language (SQL, Cypher, MQL, PL/SQL).
• Familiarity with distributed systems.
• Ability to learn and research new technologies rapidly and build scalable solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code.
• Promote appropriate tech and engineering best practices.
• Partner with teams across Lyft on organizational privacy initiatives.
• Partner with senior engineers to design, build, and maintain systems that enhance privacy across the organization.
• Independently lead tasks from idea to execution.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge.
• Participate in knowledge sharing by supporting brown bags, tech talks, and championing best practices.
• Contribute to development of controls and continuous testing, and design remediation and risk mitigation solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to enable privacy by design in products, services, and business processes.
• Anticipate problems and propose architectural improvements.
