Visteon Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering changes on programs, components, or manufacturing processes, ensuring quality systems and alignment with customer standards.

You will create and maintain technical documentation, plan and execute changes using APQP/PPAP, install and start up machinery, and collaborate with quality, MP&L, and process engineering to ensure exception-free production.

Formación

  • 2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Hands-on experience with production line setup and optimization.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and customer requirements (e.g., Ford, GM, VW, Toyota Production System).

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and coordinate engineering change on programs, components, or processes to ensure quality systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as work instructions, operation sheets, process flow, PFMEA.
  • Plan and execute engineering changes using APQP and PPAP.
  • Coordinate the installation and start-up of machinery, tooling and production equipment.
  • Provide Technical Support to production to resolve process issues and avoid downtime.
  • Collaborate with quality, MP&L, and Process engineer departments.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer-specific requirements (CSRs).

Descripción del empleo

Lead and coordinate the successful Engineering Change on programs, components, or manufacturing processes by ensuring quality systems. The Manufacturing Engineer bridges the gap between product development and full-scale production, ensuring high-quality engineering change in alignment with customer and organizational standards .

Key Objectives of this Role:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as work instructions, operation sheets, process flow , PFMEA.
  • Planning and execute Engineering changes using tools like APQP and PPAP.
  • Coordinate the installation and start-up of machinery, tooling and production equipment.
  • Provide Technical Support to production to resolve process issues and avoid downtime.
  • Collaborate with quality, MP&L, and Process engineer departments.
  • Ensure compliance with automative standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer- specific requirements (CSRs)
Key Performance Indicators:

Set KPIs that will be used to evaluate the performance of the individual in the role, including metrics related to team performance, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role, preferably in the automotive sector.

Hands-on experience with:

  • Production line setup and optimization
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • New product or process introductions (NPI/NPD)
  • Root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys)
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and customer requirements (e.g., Ford, GM, VW, Toyota Production System).
