Garrett Advancing Motion in Mexicali, Baja California seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to oversee industrialization processes. The role involves developing and executing solutions for new products and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include documentation management, PFMEA development, leading process efficiency projects, and supporting operator training. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering or related fields, along with strong English skills. Competence in APQP, PFMEA, and AutoCAD is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Project Management.
• Experience with plant-wide projects, including layout changes and new machinery implementation.

Oversees industrialization processes based on specific technologies by developing and executing, new product & continuous improvement processes based on AOP and growth projections for the site.

KEY JOB AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible to maintain updated the documentation of the processes (SOS, SCS, PFME)
• Responsible to develop, audit, follow and keep updated PFMEA and processes standards based on manufacturing documentation
• Responsible Setup compliance
• Responsible to making time and give suport in PPH compliance.
• Responsible of quick kaizen, knowledge sharing to ensure Continuous Improvement throughout the process
• Partner with maintenance Eng. /Technician for trouble shooting analysis for key/critical equipment
• Improve processes controls for Quality and productivity, Poka Yoke design and implementation.
• Responsible to support the training and operator’s certification in the identified critical process.
• Lead line efficiency and improvement efforts (projects, pph, throughput, etc.).
• Responsible for measure and updating layout changes in Auto CAD
• Bachelor's degree on Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering.
• +3 year minimum experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Project Management.
• Experience with Plant wide project, example: Layout change, new machinery & Equipment implementation, new machinery & Equipment upgrade
• English 80%
• Core tools (APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, CP, PPAP)
• IAFT 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, QCI-15, QCI-9 (preferred)
• Knowledge in the use of equipment’s and tools of the related areas (i.e. welding, machining, balancing, assembly).
• Ability to develop implement and follow up plant projects.
• Capable of follow up activities according to the plant procedures.
• Drawing and specification understanding (PI, QCI).
