Nexteer Automotive México in Ciudad Juárez is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead assembly process improvements, support product launches, and apply lean practices to boost OEE.

You will design and optimize workstations, work with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, and mentor operators, ensuring compliance with automotive standards.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in engineering, 3+ years in automotive assembly, and advanced English.

Formación

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in assembly manufacturing engineering within automotive or Tier 1 supplier.
  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, equipment, and production systems.
  • Experience supporting new product launches and process validation activities.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

Responsabilidades

  • Design, optimize, and validate assembly processes, workstations, tooling, fixtures, and equipment for new and existing product launches.
  • Support manufacturing readiness activities, including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Standardized Work.
  • Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve OEE and FPY.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis using 8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and capacity expansion projects.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and operator training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and automotive quality standards.
  • Participate in APQP activities and support product launches from concept through production.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and repeatability.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in automotive assembly operations, capable of driving process improvements, supporting product launches, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and optimizing production performance. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration skills to deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilitie

Qualification

  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing equipment, and production systems.
  • Experience supporting new product launches and process validation activities.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
