LHH, located in Guanajuato, Mexico, is seeking a Lead in Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance. This role focuses on hands-on manufacturing execution, particularly in new line launches and continuous improvement to ensure quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and have at least 2 years in a leadership role, or 5 years in manufacturing. Ideal candidates have solid experience in Tier 1 automotive environments.

Lead and coordinate Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance functions, ensuring the successful industrialization, launch, and optimization of production processes. The role is heavily focused on hands‑on manufacturing execution on the shop floor, particularly in new line launches and continuous improvement, driving performance, quality, safety, and compliance through strong leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams (~7 engineers).
• Drive process industrialization and new production line launches.
• Manage APQP processes and engineering changes (with a strong operational focus).
• Define cycle times, capacity, labor requirements, and process costs.
• Develop, maintain, and ensure execution of Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, etc.).
• Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives and OEE action plans.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and customer‑specific requirements.
• Oversee safe, ergonomic, and efficient process and equipment design.
• Manage budgets for tooling, capital equipment, and process improvements.
• Promote structured problem‑solving methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, Quick Response, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years in a similar leadership role (Supervisor/Coordinator/Lead) or 5+ years in manufacturing engineering.
• Solid experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing (assembly experience highly preferred).
• Proven experience launching new production lines.
• Knowledge of Core Tools (FMEA, APQP, SPC, Control Plan).
• Experience in problem‑solving and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and basic understanding of C‑TPAT.
• Advanced English (mandatory).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Self‑driven, senior profile with strong character and ability to handle a demanding leadership style.
