Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with daily lesson plans and activities that align with the preschool curriculum
• Monitor children to ensure safety and promote positive behavior during classroom activities
• Promote appropriate social and emotional skills through behavior guidance
• Set up and organize materials and displays to support hands‑on learning
• Keep classroom spaces clean, organized and safe; sanitize toys and surfaces
• Offer one-on-one or small-group support to children needing additional help
• Record observations and report concerns or notable progress to the lead teacher
• Assist with arrivals, departures, meals and rest time to support routines and transitions
• Model respectful, inclusive behavior to foster a positive classroom culture
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure consistent teaching practices and child care
