SEGULA Technologies in Mexico City is seeking a Project Cost Engineer focused on powertrain systems. You will bridge engineering design with financial tracking to establish should-cost targets for variable and tooling costs, collaborating with global product teams.

The role requires deep insight into powertrain architectures, machining, casting, and cost modeling, with strong English communication within a global framework. Help drive cost reduction across multiple programs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related technical field.
• Proven experience in cost engineering within automotive powertrain environments.
• Experience establishing tooling investments and sub-assembly costs.
• Strong knowledge of metals, machining, casting, and global auto programs.
• High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple programs.

Responsabilidades

• Develop activity-based should-cost models for powertrain components from drawings and BOMs.
• Estimate variable and tooling costs across program phases.
• Perform bottom-up cost calculations including materials, labor, overhead, and logistics.
• Validate supplier cost breakdowns for RFQ reviews and negotiations.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes like die casting, machining, forging, heat treatment and assembly.
• Drive design-to-cost and weight optimization with engineering teams.
• Track program costs against targets and manage multiple optimization programs.
• Assess capital investments for tooling and machining lines.
