Job summary

Nemak is seeking a seasoned Purchasing lead to manage all plant procurement activities, source materials, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing for production.

You will oversee requisitions, purchase orders, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities while aligning purchasing with plant goals. A Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in Purchasing are required, with 5+ years in supplier relations.

Qualifications

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure supply of materials and services required for plant operations.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of purchase agreements and contracts to achieve the best possible terms for the plant.

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure purchased materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor and evaluate suppliers, addressing issues regarding delivery, quality, or service, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Analyze purchasing data and trends to make informed decisions.
• Align purchasing activities with plant goals and objectives.

Position Requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of experience or more in Purchasing.
• 5 years of experience or more in supplier relations.
