Nemak Spain SL. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer MC to ensure quality across the production process, from incoming inspection to finished goods release. You will manage external customer complaints, audit supplier performance, and support audits and customer visits.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 3+ years in quality-related areas, and advanced English. Core Tools or Quality Auditor certifications are preferred, with a focus on leadership and supplier management.

• Core Tools (preferred), Quality Auditor certification (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with quality documentation requirements at each workstation.
• Report quality defects and maintain defect records by workstation.
• Handle and respond to customer complaints using 8D, 5W, 5D methodologies.
• Perform inspection and product release procedures for materials and finished goods.
• Document lessons learned from customer complaints and recurring process defects.
• Inspect material batches to ensure acceptance criteria before shipment.
• Support internal and external audits and customer visits.
• Deploy quality alerts, containment actions, and inventory sorting.
• Evaluate raw material and alloying material suppliers.
• Release and approve raw materials and alloys.
• Evaluate chemical composition of material batches and analyze results.
• Manage entries/exits in the quarantine area.

Responsible for ensuring quality throughout the entire production process, from raw material receiving inspection and in-process quality control to finished product inspection. Responsible for managing and following up on external customer complaints. Audits the production process for scrap and ingot melting operations. Gathers and maintains plant documentation for customer audits, visits, and quality claim follow-up. Audits and evaluates raw material suppliers and monitors the performance of critical suppliers. Responsible for auditing products and control plans, as well as ensuring the closure of corrective actions.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with quality documentation requirements at each workstation.
• Report quality defects and findings during the production process and maintain defect records by workstation.
• Handle and respond to customer complaints, including 8D, 5W, 5D methodologies, and other problem-solving processes.
• Perform inspection and product release procedures for incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Document lessons learned from customer complaints and recurring process defects.
• Inspect material batches to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria before shipment to internal and external customers.
• Support internal and external audits, as well as customer visits.
• Deploy quality alerts, containment actions, and inventory sorting activities.
• Evaluate raw material and alloying material suppliers.
• Responsible for the release and approval of raw materials and alloying materials.
• Evaluate the chemical composition of raw material batches, internal scrap, and external scrap. Document and analyze chemical test results.

Position Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in related areas such as Quality, Incoming Inspection, or Quality Management Systems.
• Certifications: Core Tools (preferred), Quality Auditor certification (preferred).
• Skills: Leadership, negotiation, strategic thinking, project management, and supplier management.
• Technical Skills: Quality Assurance, Problem Solving, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Metallurgy, and Auditing.
• Language: Advanced English proficiency required.
