Job summary

Nemak is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Saltillo, Mexico, to upgrade site equipment through control logic changes and hardware replacements (HMIs and PLCs). You will support corrective and preventive maintenance to restart equipment after recurring failures.

The role emphasizes problem solving, automation, and safety, with responsibilities spanning startup support, engineering collaboration, documentation of PLC programs, and supervising a technical team on aluminum casting and molding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years in aluminum fusion/molding industries.
• Knowledge of automation, safety, and mechatronics.
• Strong problem solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Basic English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support corrective and preventive maintenance during equipment startup.
• Assist Maintenance Engineering with startups after new installations or process changes.
• Report modifications to improve equipment and processes to Engineering.
• Document PLC programming for equipment in the area.
• Train personnel to improve technical skills.
• Provide support for aluminum casting equipment or molding lines.

Maintenance Supervisor

Objective

Upgrade equipment installed on site through control logic modifications and hardware replacement (HMIs and PLCs). Support corrective and preventive maintenance activities to restart equipment affected by recurring failures.

Main Responsibilities

• Support corrective and preventive maintenance activities during equipment startup.
• Support Maintenance Engineering with equipment startup following new installations or process modifications.
• Report modifications that improve equipment and processes to the Engineering department.
• Document all PLC programming for equipment installed in the area.
• Train personnel under your supervision to improve their technical skills.
• Provide support for aluminum casting equipment or molding lines.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, electrical, industrial engineering, or related.
• 3 years or more of experience in aluminum fusion.
• 3 years or more of experience in molding.
• Strong focus on problem solving, testing & validation, occupational safety & health, automation, and mechatronics.
• Strong emphasis on decision-making, people development, communication, planning, and action-oriented.
• Basic English level
• 1 year or more of knowledge of automation processes
• .2 years or more of experience with project implementation.
• 1 year or more of experience with WCM (World Class Manufacturing).
• Experience with logistics administration software.
