Nemak Spain SL in Monterrey is seeking an experienced CAD designer to develop 3D models, tooling, and prototypes for new components and casting processes. You will collaborate with machining and prototyping teams to drive product development and production improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in NX CAD with aluminum casting, 3+ years in additive manufacturing, and advanced English. You will lead design solutions while ensuring safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced

Formación

• 5+ years of CAD design experience using NX.
• 5+ years in aluminum casting processes.
• 3+ years in additive manufacturing and early prototypes.
• 3+ years designing tooling and fixtures.
• 3+ years machining strategies experience.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAE, prototyping and product development.
• CAD training certificates and proficiency in engineering drawings and standards.
• Advanced English.
• Strong decision-making, reporting, communication and teamwork.
• 5 years in injection molding, assembly, machining and mechanisms.

Responsabilidades

• Create 3D CAD models for components, prototypes, sand core packages, and gauges.
• Support component assembly and machining activities to ensure proper fit and part quality.
• Develop functional prototypes to support new component development.
• Provide design solutions to resolve plant issues and improve production processes.
• Collaborate with CAD, CAM, and CAE teams to support engineering and manufacturing projects.
• Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout design and development activities.
• Design solutions through additive manufacturing.
• Operate the additive manufacturing lab and 3D printing equipment to support aluminum casting processes.

Objective

Develop 3D models and design solutions for new components, prototypes, sand core packages, and gauges that support plant operations. Contribute to product development and production improvements through collaboration with prototyping, machining, and engineering teams.

• Support component assembly and machining activities to ensure proper fit and part quality.
• Develop functional prototypes to support new component development.
• Provide design solutions to resolve plant issues and improve production processes.
• Collaborate with CAD, CAM, and CAE teams to support engineering and manufacturing projects.
• Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout design and development activities.
• Design solutions through additive manufacturing.
• Operate the additive manufacturing lab.
• Operate 3D printing equipment to produce prototypes and support the development and improvement of aluminum casting processes.

Position Requirements

• At least 5 years of CAD design experience using NX.
• At least 5 years of experience with casting processes, including knowledge of aluminum casting.
• At least 3 years of experience in additive manufacturing, including the development of early-stage prototypes and solutions for aluminum casting.
• At least 3 years of experience designing tooling and fixtures.
• At least 3 years of experience with machining strategies.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAE design, conceptual design, prototyping, and product development.
• CAD training certificates and certification of proficiency in engineering drawings and standards.
• Advanced English.
• Strong decision-making, technical reporting, communication, teamwork, collaboration, and conflict management skills.
• 5 years in injection molding, component assembly, machining processes, and mechanical mechanisms.
