Job summary

Ford México is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join the Finance team in Mexico. You will partner with operations to manage payroll for U.S. employees and ensure accurate compensation, tax compliance, and timely payments across multi-state requirements.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with HR, Labor Affairs, and finance. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of payroll experience, proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint, and familiarity with Oracle Cloud or similar payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience processing and/or calculating payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Familiar with payroll software and/or systems including Oracle Cloud or similar payroll system.
• Familiar with timekeeping software and/or systems is highly desirable.
• Payroll tax experience is recommended.
• Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with automation tools is desirable.
• Understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, GL, close processes).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions in compliance with federal, state, regional, and union requirements to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.
• Support payroll audits and pre-payroll validations; review pay-period variances and document explanations.
• Audit payroll files and assist employees with payment questions.
• Prepare quarterly metrics and presentation materials including balance adjustments and W-2 statistics.
• Process year-end W-2 activities and coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
• Maintain paid-time-off plans and balances, and support unemployment payments as applicable.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies; troubleshoot systems and support compliance initiatives.
