Job summary

Amphenol TCS de México, S.A. de C.V. seeks a seasoned Head of Process Engineering to lead a team of engineers responsible for assembly, cable assembly, molding/overmolding, and related manufacturing processes for power connectors.

You will drive product development, line transfer, and sustaining manufacturing with a focus on manufacturability and process stability across multiple technologies. You will mentor engineers, ensure cross-functional collaboration, and uphold rigorous DFMA practices to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• +10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably connectors or cable assemblies.
• Strong understanding of assembly, cable assembly, and molding/overmolding processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution through influence.
• Experience supervising engineers in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop a team of engineers (Senior Process Engineer, Cable Assembly, Molding/Overmolding, and Assembly).
• Provide technical and execution leadership across product development, line transfer, and sustaining manufacturing.
• Ensure collaboration with Product Development, Fixture Design, and Test engineering teams.
• Drive DFM and DFA applications to improve manufacturability, cost, and scalability.
• Review and approve definitions, validations, and line-transfer readiness.
• Lead escalation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for process-related issues.
• Balance resources and priorities across multiple products and technologies.
• Coach engineers on technical depth, problem solving, and shop-floor execution.
• Own process engineering execution across assembly, cable assembly, and molding technologies.
• Authorize prioritization of work, resource assignment, and implementation of solutions within design/manufacturing boundaries.
• Provide consolidated DFM/DFA input to Product Development and Engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Or Manufacturing Engineering
• + 10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (connectors or cable assemblies preferred) 8+ years Demonstrated supervisory or people-management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of assembly. cable assembly, and molding/overmolding processes preferred
