• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
• 10+ years of applicable technical experience is expected.
• Experience in AS9100/ISO9001 environments preferred.
• Experience with compression mold machine manufacturing is required.

Responsabilidades

• Optimize manufacturing processes using Lean techniques to maintain high efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering on new processes and work instructions.
• Develop processes/instructions for new products requiring assembly and related activities.
• Diagnose problems with equipment, fixturing, tools, and processes and determine corrective actions.
• Create/approve fixture and tool drawings for production projects.
• Develop assembly plans with project engineers and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.
• Analyze tools/equipment/processes to boost efficiency; implement improvements.
• Create BOMs in ERP for new and existing jobs; maintain BOM accuracy.
• Maintain current work instructions with visuals as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment purchases and implementation.
• Train employees to use equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct pricing and ROI analysis to ensure optimal margins.
• Specify assembly/process machines and mechanisms used in production.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 audits through documentation.

Descripción del empleo

Optimize existing manufacturing processes with a goal of maintaining the best efficiency possible utilizing Lean techniques and methodology. Coordinate with Production and Engineering on developing new process and work instructions for manufacturing.

• Oversee and develop processes and instructions for new products requiring assembly and secondary related activities.
• Diagnoses and determines appropriate corrective action for problems with conditions of equipment, fixturing, tools and processes that are used in assembly and secondary processes.
• Creates, reviews, and approves fixture and tool drawings for variety of production projects.
• Creates Assembly plan with project engineer including work instructions and adhering to program budgets, schedules, requirements etc.
• Continually analyzes in house tools, equipment and processes to determine where efficiency can be improved through modifications, or by applying LEAN methodology.
• Creates BOM’s in the ERP software program for all new jobs as well as maintains current BOM’s for all existing jobs.
• Maintains accurate and current work instructions for production processes including pictures as necessary.
• Works closely with vendors on new equipment purchases to insure proper selection and implementation.
• Train and instruct others as needed to use equipment properly and safely in production.
• Completes special assignments as requested.
• Actively promotes, seeks and participates in continued learning opportunities.
• Conduct pricing and ROI analysis to ensure optimal margins.
• Specify assembly/process machines (laser welders, precision semi-automatic assembly machines, and microelectronic-type assembly equipment).
• Ensure compliance with internal/external AS9100 and manufacturing process control audits by designing and executing internal/external quality and process control documentation.

• Proficient with IQMS MRP system and Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.
• Solidworks, ProE and/or AutoCAD software desire.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office programs including Word, Excel
• Able to read, create and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Able to stand and walk frequently.
• Able to lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently, 25 pounds occasionally.
• Project Management experience, proven process implementation capability, manufacturing or plant Startup. (SOP)
• Bilingual is a must
• Communication skills at all levels of the organization / ability to influence others
• Negotiation skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.

• Process development and transfer (NPI / NPD).
• Experience working is an AS9100 and ISO9001 environment.
