Job summary
Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) is seeking an experienced Applications Engineering & NPI Manager to drive electrical wire harness products from concept through launch for automotive programs. You will lead technical discussions with Zoox and customer teams, manage changes, and ensure manufacturability and quality in production.
You will oversee cross-functional efforts across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, ensuring schedule, cost, and performance targets are met while
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
- 8+ years in automotive or aerospace wire harness or related.
- 3+ years in technical leadership or engineering management.
- Experience with engineering change management and PLM/ERP workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer-facing engineering discussions on harness designs, specifications, and manufacturability.
- Establish and manage engineering change process, ECO/ECR lifecycle, and revision control.
- Lead NPI activities from design review through pilot, ramp, and serial production.
- Provide wire harness design, testing, and manufacturing guidance to ensure DFMA and cost targets.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to meet delivery objectives.
- Mentor engineers, establish processes, and drive continuous improvement in engineering change and product readiness.
