Job summary

Maersk in Mexico City is seeking a Night-Shift Multicarrier Dispatch Specialist to coordinate container movements, assign loads to drivers, and schedule port appointments. You will act as a key link among drivers, customers, terminals, and internal teams.

The role requires strong organizational skills, customer focus, and the ability to make timely decisions in a busy environment. Office presence is required with occasional travel for team activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in shipping/logistics, dispatch, landside operations, freight coordination, or related fields.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience with intermodal, drayage, port operations, or container logistics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assign loads to drivers in Trinium, ensuring accurate allocation based on availability and capacity.
• Support drivers with day-to-day challenges and provide real-time guidance.
• Generate daily Dispatch Reports consolidating drayage planning activities.
• Schedule pickup and drop-off appointments through terminal websites and customer facilities.
• Monitor and track import/export container movements for timely execution.
• Investigate completed and pending loads to maintain visibility and planning accuracy.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding drayage issues and service updates.
• Review and approve accessorial charges, coordinating with Settlement and Transportation teams.
