Maersk is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Operations Specialist for our GSC Americas team in Mexico City. You will execute end-to-end customs declarations, ensure first-time-right processing, and maintain clear customer status and compliant invoicing.

The role requires 2+ years in customs or related ops, proficiency with Applite/Kewill/CargoWise/GC System, and strong MS Office/Excel skills for validation and reporting. On-site, with shifts 5 AM–5 PM CDMX, and strict regulatory compliance.

Formación

• 2+ years in Customs Operations or related field.
• Proficient with customs/billing software like Applite, Kewill, CargoWise One or GC System.
• Strong MS Office and Excel skills for validation and reporting.
• Knowledge of Denied Party List screening and AEO-aligned controls.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and validate online and manual orders; guide customers on docs and timelines.
• Set up orders in customs tools; verify POA, agreements, service scope, and terms.
• Conduct risk assessments; accept/reject bookings and notify customers.
• Create/file customs declarations; manage corrections or cancellations on request.
• Provide status visibility; update systems; complete order closure and archiving.
• Update MIS reporting and customer KPIs.
• Prepare invoice basis and validate duties, VAT, costs, deferment usage.
• Coordinate with Finance Ops and P2P for accurate invoicing.
• Apply screening checks to prevent compliance breaches.
• Maintain complete order setup and documentation for on-time delivery.
