Atos in Monterrey seeks a Network Operations Engineer to monitor network health, analyze incidents, and apply basic Cisco changes to keep services available. You will use ServiceNow, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime to manage alerts, tickets, and reports, collaborating with internal teams and external providers.

The role requires 1–3 years in NOC, a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Network Engineering, and strong skills in BGP, TCP/IP, and routing.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or related fields.
  • Cisco routing and switching expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Telnet/SSH, and FTP.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitor real-time network health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents.
  • Implement basic configuration changes on Cisco networking equipment.
  • Manage alerts, tickets, and reports using ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Splunk, Infoblox.
  • Diagnose connectivity, routing, and performance issues.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external providers for timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and updated operational documentation.
  • Participate in major incident management and high-priority situations.

Descripción del empleo

The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the network’s health, handling and resolving Level 2/3 incidents, and performing basic changes on Cisco equipment to ensure service availability. They will use tools such as ServiceNow, SolarWinds, or Cisco Prime to manage alerts, tickets, and reports. They will analyze connectivity issues, apply operational best practices, and collaborate with internal teams and external providers for issue resolution. The role also includes maintaining updated documentation and providing support during critical or high‑priority situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor real‑time network health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents.
  • Implement basic configuration changes on Cisco networking equipment.
  • Manage alerts, tickets, and operational reports using ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, and related tools.
  • Diagnose connectivity, routing, and performance issues.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external providers to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and updated operational documentation.
  • Participate in major incident management and high‑priority situations.
Must-have Qualifications / Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.
  • Strong command of BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Telnet, SSH, and FTP.
  • Hands‑on experience with monitoring platforms such as ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Splunk, or Infoblox.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adaptable, and detail‑oriented.
  • Availability to work in rotating shifts.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or related fields.
Professional Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in NOC functions or similar network operations roles.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage high‑pressure and fast‑paced operational environments.
  • Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.
Good-to-have Qualifications / Skills:
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • ITIL knowledge or certification.
  • Familiarity with firewall technologies, VPNs, or ISP networks.
