Tata Consultancy Services in Monterrey is seeking a Level 1/1.5 Command Center Network Engineer to monitor enterprise network infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with senior teams to ensure reliable services in a 24x7 environment.

The role involves monitoring tools, incident management via ITSM platforms, basic health checks, and collaboration with vendors. 3–5 years in network operations and a CCNA are preferred, with ITIL knowledge considered a plus.

Formación

  • 3–5 years in Network Operations, NOC or IT support.
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CCNA certification preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitor network infrastructure and performance.
  • Troubleshoot Level 1 issues (LAN/WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, firewall alerts).
  • Log and manage incidents in ITSM systems (ServiceNow or Remedy).
  • Conduct basic health checks (CPU, memory, interfaces).
  • Escalate to L1.5/L2 per SLA.
  • Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for network issues.
  • Maintain incident records and shift handovers.
  • Follow incident, change and problem management processes.
  • Support 24x7 operations via rotational shifts.

L1 / L1.5 Command Center Network Engineer

Join our Network Operations team and play a critical role in ensuring the availability and performance of enterprise network infrastructure. As an L1/L1.5 Command Center Engineer, you will monitor network environments, troubleshoot connectivity issues, manage incidents, and collaborate with senior support teams to deliver reliable network services in a 24x7 operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Nagios.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 network issues involving LAN/WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, and firewall alerts.
  • Log, track, and manage incidents through ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • Perform basic network health checks, including CPU, memory, and interface monitoring.
  • Escalate incidents to L1.5/L2 teams according to established SLAs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for network-related issues when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, incident records, and shift handovers.
  • Follow incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Support 24x7 operations through rotational shifts.

Required Skills

  • Understanding of TCP/IP, OSI Model, LAN/WAN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco or Juniper networking devices.
  • Familiarity with firewall concepts and network monitoring tools.
  • Experience working with ITSM/ticketing platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Network Operations, NOC, or IT Support environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CCNA certification (preferred).
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
