Schneider Electric seeks an on-site student intern in Mexico (Nuevo León, Apodaca) to support sourcing and procurement analytics. The role combines data validation, forecast updates, and supplier-driven analyses with interaction across teams in multiple time zones.

You will work part-time on-site twice weekly, contribute to cost-saving initiatives, and develop practical skills in ERP transactions and sourcing processes.

Formación

  • Active student of Industrial, Mechanical, Global Business or related
  • Graduating in June 2027 or later
  • Available to go onsite 2 times per week
  • Advanced English

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze sourcing and procurement data to verify ERP quota allocations align with the approved sourcing strategy.
  • Validate savings associated with open purchase orders, shipments, and actual purchasing activity and establish key actions to stakeholders
  • Review project P&L dates against current project and sourcing status, identifying discrepancies that require follow-up.
  • Update sourcing forecasts and maintain the team’s master tracking tools.
  • Support quarterly price updates, including North America average pricing, India offer pricing, raw-material impacts, and foreign-exchange adjustments.
  • Maintain sourcing databases and systems, including the master tracker and iSave, following established processes and data-quality standards.
  • Support RFQ preparation by gathering forecasts, spend information, specifications, pricing inputs, and other relevant sourcing data.
  • Contribute to preliminary business-case development and support the initial stages of supplier negotiations.
  • Follow up on tactical and operational sourcing actions to help ensure timely execution.
  • Respond to straightforward data requests and ad hoc analyses from internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with minor updates to sourcing presentations and management communications.

What will you do?

  • Attention to detail: Strong focus on data accuracy, particularly when validating quotas, savings, prices, forecasts, and project dates.
  • Excel and data-management capabilities: Confidence working with spreadsheets, trackers, structured datasets, formulas, lookups, filters, and basic data analysis.
  • Organization and prioritization: Ability to balance weekly and monthly recurring activities with daily operational requests and on-demand sourcing projects.
  • Communication skills: Ability to explain findings clearly and collaborate effectively with sourcing professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Willingness to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Process discipline: Ability to follow established sourcing, savings-reporting, and master-data maintenance processes.
  • Learning agility: Curiosity and willingness to learn sourcing processes, ERP transactions, supplier negotiation practices, and financial concepts.
  • Ownership and accountability: A proactive approach to completing tasks accurately, escalating risks, and meeting agreed deadlines.
