Schneider Electric is seeking a Technical Intern in Mexico to work alongside seasoned engineers on projects that design, develop, and optimize innovative products and solutions. You’ll gain hands-on experience through real responsibilities, not just observation, building a foundation for your engineering career.

As an intern you will support product engineers and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Engineering teams, while applying Lean and Six Sigma concepts.

Formación

  • Active student in electrical, electronics or mechatronics.
  • Graduating in December 2027 or later.
  • Availability to be onsite.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

  • Support Product Engineers in development, validation, and improvement of products and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in analyzing product performance, yield, quality metrics, and reliability data.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation for product-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, specifications, and engineering change records.
  • Support product qualification activities, testing, and data collection.
  • Analyze engineering data using Excel and other digital tools to identify trends and improvements.
  • Assist with product transfer, NPI, and product lifecycle management activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Create presentations and reports to communicate project progress and technical findings.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and engineering standards while contributing to daily operations.

As a Technical Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that design, develop, and optimize innovative products and solutions. What will you do:
  • Support Product Engineers in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in analyzing product performance, yield, quality metrics, and reliability data.

  • Create presentations and reports to communicate project progress and technical findings.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and engineering standards while contributing to daily operations and special projects.
What qualifications will make you successful:
  • knowledge of electrical, electronic, and manufacturing engineering principles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and product specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with engineering and statistical analysis tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and problem-solving methodologies is a Plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and reliability.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize activities, and meet project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • English communication skills (written and verbal) preferred.
