Qualifications

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a highly motivated Mexico Accounts Payable Accountant with proven experience managing Accounts Payable processes in Mexico. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with Mexican regulatory requirements, maintaining strong vendor relationships, optimizing cash flow, and delivering accurate financial reporting that supports effective business and strategic decision-making.

Core areas:

• Responsible from México Accounts Payable
• Manage cash flow activities and accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
• Maintain accurate accounting records by recording, classifying, and monitoring financial transactions.
• Support monthly financial closings and the preparation of financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including government filings and reporting obligations.
• Administer fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and insurance policies.
• Coordinate and provide documentation required for internal, external, and government audits.
• Maintain strong accounting and financial controls to safeguard the integrity of financial information.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial and operational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting, finance, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Previous experience working in a public accounting firm (Despacho Contable) is highly preferred.
• Solid experience in Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, expense reports, and payment scheduling.
• Experience with month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in CONTPAQi.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial data analysis.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (70%+).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
