MezTal is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations across multiple locations. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain employee payroll records, and audit timekeeping data while delivering excellent service on payroll inquiries.

You will collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, and Accounting to comply with wage and hour laws and company policies. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced

Formación

• Minimum of three (3) years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing payroll for multiple locations and/or multiple states is preferred.
• Experience using payroll and timekeeping systems is required.
• Experience with UKG or similar payroll software is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations.
• Ensure payroll transactions are entered accurately and completed within established deadlines.
• Update employee pay rates, position changes, transfers, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll changes.
• Process payroll transactions related to new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
• Maintain payroll records, employee earnings information, tax forms, direct deposit authorizations, and related documentation.
• Assist with payroll corrections, off-cycle payments, final paychecks, and retroactive adjustments.
• Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping.
• Support payroll withholdings, including garnishments, benefits, retirement contributions, and other deductions.
• Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including tax forms and reporting.
• Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate employee records.
• Assist with payroll audits and other special projects as assigned.
