Job summary

Flexport is expanding across LATAM and seeks a Mexico Air Leader to own airfreight strategy and P&L for imports, exports, and Mexico-sold volumes. The role requires defining focus lanes, securing competitive airfreight rates, and transitioning to direct procurement.

You will collaborate with sales to win key accounts and mentor pricing and operations teams across Mexico. You will lead an on-site team across air, pricing, and customer service to deliver profitable growth and strong client

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in freight forwarding.
• Deep pricing and solutioning expertise across varied client sizes.
• Deep Air operations expertise with hands-on problem solving.
• Existing relationships with airlines in the country and at headquarters.
• Strong vendor relationships at major airports (customs, trucks, ground handlers).
• Energetic, collaborative leader with field presence across sales and operations.

Responsibilities

• Define Mexico Airfreight budget (tons, net revenue, contribution profit) with GM and design the focus lanes to sell.
• Manage Air P&L for Mexico imports/exports and Mexico-sold volumes to ensure EBITDA positivity.
• Transition from agent to direct procurement for airfreight and local charges at all major MX airports.
• Support sales with lead generation, client meetings, and strategy to win key accounts in the region.
• Provide tailored door-to-door solutions with sharp pricing; coordinate with overseas Air procurement managers.
