Job summary

Flexport is expanding its footprint across LATAM with Mexico as a key growth market. We seek a Mexico Air Leader to own airfreight strategy and P&L for imports, exports, and Mexico-sold volumes, defining focus lanes and securing competitive rates at major Mexican airports.

You will work closely with the GM and cross-functional teams to drive EBITDA-positive growth. You’ll collaborate with sales, operations, pricing, and customer service, coaching local staff and traveling to client sites to win

Qualifications

• 7+ years of freight forwarding experience.
• Deep pricing and solutioning expertise.
• Deep Air operations expertise with hands-on problem solving.
• Existing relationships with airlines in Mexico.
• Relationships with vendors at major Mexico airports.
• Strong leadership and ability to coach teams.
• Willingness to travel and work with cross-time-zone teams.

Responsibilities

• Define Mexico Airfreight Strategy with GM and focus lanes, plus initiatives to hit goals.
• Manage Air P&L for Mexico imports, exports and sold volumes, ensuring EBITDA positive.
• Transition from agent to direct procurement; secure competitive airfreight and local charges.
• Support sales by providing leads, guiding target verticals, and meeting clients with the sales team.
• Develop tailored door-to-door solutions and pricing; review bids for competitiveness.
• Lead and coach local operations, pricing and customer service teams.
