Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced materials and supply chain professional to define inventory levels, manage revision changeovers, and provide clear, timely reporting to cross-functional teams. You will work with Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, and ERP systems to safeguard material availability and minimize costs.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, ERP/BI processes, and cross-functional partners to maintain accurate item tracking and support continuous improvements in operations.

Qualifications

• Intermediate MS Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Basic BOM management and item creation in ERP.
• Power BI experience.
• 3-5 years in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Determine and define inventory levels for specified items.
• Provide clear item coverage and communicate planned usage.
• Use item lead times to flag items at risk.
• Identify open purchase orders at risk due to revision changes.
• Coordinate with local Purchasing on revision changeover dates.
• Ensure timely updates to cross-functional teams to meet a strict SLA.
• Maintain an organized item tracking system accessible to teams.
• Communicate the need to manage open POs and revision integrity with Purchasing.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to minimize scrap, rework, and costs.
• Support material availability and prevent disruptions during revision changeovers.
• Serve as primary contact between local Purchasing and MDM Operations.
• Scrub and analyze data to generate reports on Parts and Suppliers.
• Follow predefined processes to ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain task tracking for revision updates, approvals, aging, and closures.
• Maintain knowledge of products and parts.
