Job summary

Emerson in Ciudad Juárez, MX seeks an Industrial Engineer to lead Lean initiatives and optimize material flow across manufacturing operations. You will develop value stream maps, SOPs, and improve layouts, while implementing pull systems and Kanban to reduce waste and boost efficiency.

The role requires collaboration with global teams, strong problem-solving, and the ability to travel internationally (USA visa). A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and material flow optimization.
• Strong knowledge of process improvement methods.
• Ability to read and develop value stream maps and SOPs.
• Experience with automation technologies is a plus.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies, supporting the implementation of pull systems, Kanban and visual management.

• Develop detailed VSMs, process flow diagrams and standard operating procedures.

• Improve plant layouts, design and implement material flow strategies.

• Develop and implement part presentation strategies to ensure materials are delivered to workstations in an organized, ergonomic, and efficient manner.

• Capacity analysis and line balancing.

• Design inventory control strategies to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

• English: Intermediate/Advanced

• 5+ years' experience in Lean Manufacturing, Material Flow Design, Continues Improvement, or Industrial Engineering.

• Ability to travel including internationally(USA-VISA).

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Implementation of automation technologies such as: Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV),Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Scan tunnels.
