Responsibilities

  • Assure products are manufactured per spec from designs by corporate offices in the USA.
  • Promote modern manufacturing systems for competitive advantage.
  • Develop technicians and certify operators across manufacturing areas.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S, layout changes, POKA YOKE, BOM/routings improvements.
  • Develop and improve calibration routines with support from maintenance/quality engineers.
  • Coordinate time studies, capacity analysis and cell design.
  • Budget, evaluate, select and purchase tools and equipment; coordinate validation and installation.
  • Identify and correct complex failures and disposition nonconforming material.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Assure that the products are manufactured according to spec on designs established by corporate offices in U.S.A. by the correct interpretation of product drawings, norms, standards or established codes.
  • Promote modern manufacturing systems that ensure a competitive advantage.
  • Develop the technicians' members of the team as well as certifying the operators on the different manufacturing areas.
  • Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing: such as 5S, layout changes, POKA YOKE implementation, improvement on BOM’s and routings.
  • Develop and improvement of calibration routines for equipment and tooling on processes owned by the engineer with support from the maintenance and/or quality engineer.
  • Coordinate time studies, capacity analysis and manufacturing cell design.
  • Budget, evaluate, select and purchase of new tools and equipment, as well as coordinate validation and installation of the mentioned before following the already established procedures.
  • Identify and correct complex failures on manufacturing processes. Provide disposition to nonconforming material.
