General Motors in Toluca, Mexico is seeking a Supply Chain professional to execute deliverables that support the organization's objectives. The role guides a key area within the Global Supply Chain to ensure objectives are met across customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.

The position communicates to all levels and supports relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, Automation, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in material handling.
  • Experience with Pull Systems and root cause analysis.

Responsabilidades

  • Execute deliverables in support of supply chain objectives.
  • Guide key areas within Global Supply Chain to meet objectives.
  • Support relationship management with logistics suppliers and service providers.
  • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
  • Collaborate across functions to develop solutions and communicate with leadership.
  • Handle complex capacity constraints to prevent plant disruptions.
  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier issue resolution.
  • Travel to plant locations for on-site launch and build-out as needed.
  • Add IA implementations and support.

Job Description

Job Description Responsibilities: Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives. Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production. Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions. Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation. Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution. Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution. Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out. Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies. Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions Add IA implementations and support

Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, Automation, or a related field or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in material handling.
  • Experience with Pull Systems.
  • Proven experience conducting Root Cause Analysis.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Experience in logistics or material flow is preferred.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts under a 4x3 schedule.
