Job summary

Corning Inc. in Reynosa, Mexico, is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to drive operational execution, readiness, and continuous improvement across the plant.

You will translate business priorities into shop-floor actions, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure launch, ramp-up, and sustained performance of manufacturing processes. The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost, building a culture of discipline and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain).
• 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing operations or production leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and Lean projects.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, production planning, and line performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of manufacturing strategies, process changes, and ramp-ups.
• Translate priorities into execution roadmaps with milestones, owners and targets.
• Ensure shop-floor readiness before launches with labor, equipment, tools, and documentation.
• Drive capacity analyses to identify constraints in labor, equipment, and throughput.
• Lead Lean initiatives to reduce waste, improve flow, and productivity.
• Monitor key metrics like OEE, yield, and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Automation, Finance, and Product teams.
• Lead qualification and launch-support activities including risk assessments and recovery planning.
