RXO is seeking an Operations Manager for the Morning Shift in Monterrey. The role requires leading teams, managing budgets, and driving efficiency across transportation and customs operations.

You will collaborate with Account Managers and operations staff to implement policy changes and improve service quality. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in transportation/customs, 3+ years in leadership, strong data analysis, and excellent communication in English.

Formación

• 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation and customs operations.
• Experience leading teams and 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Ability to manage budgets, interpret supply chain KPIs, and analyze data to reduce costs.
• Excellent crisis management, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities.
• English proficiency for conversations.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
• Ability to learn new software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assess and adjust staffing to maintain high-quality service while controlling overtime and labor costs.
• Oversee supervisory functions, mentor supervisors and coordinators, use metrics and tools.
• Serve as liaison between Account Managers and operations; investigate issues and determine root causes.
• Coordinate procedure and document changes; ensure quality policies are followed and communicated.
• Identify process efficiencies and work with teams to implement specifications.
• Analyze quantitative information and apply professional judgment to issue resolution.
• Maintain departmental budget and participate in planning, scheduling and policy development.
• Support HR and management on disciplinary actions and hiring/terminations.

What your day‑to‑day will look like:

• Assess and adjust staffing requirements to maintain the highest possible level of quality service to our customers, while maintaining the lowest possible expenditures of overtime or excess labor expense
• Oversee all supervisory functions, including developing and mentoring supervisors and coordinators; ensure the regular use of metrics and system tools in conjunction with the operational metrics review standards
• Function as liaison between Account Managers and operational staff on all policy and procedure changes or implementations; investigate all significant issues to determine root cause and correction procedure, initiate incident report when necessary
• Coordinate all procedure and document changes, comply with all quality policies and procedures, attend any required quality meetings, and ensure that all quality initiatives are adequately communicated to entire operational staff
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and work with operations team and System Engineers to create specifications and implement
• Analyze quantitative information and apply professional judgment to resolve issues
• Maintain departmental budget and ensure compliance to it; actively participate as departmental representative in planning, scheduling, budgeting and policy development and administration
• Work with HR and upper management on any disciplinary issues and institute corrective action; actively participate in the hiring and/or termination process

Essential requirements:

• Availability to travel occasionally
• Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
• Ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations
• +8 years of progressive experience on different mode of transportation and customs related operations.
• Experience on lead teams and +3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Ability to manage budgets, interpret supply chain KPIs, and analyze data to reduce costs
• Excellent crisis management, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional communication abilities
• Customer contact experience
• Expedited operation experience
• English Proficiency (conversations)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as dictated by supply chain and operation demands.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop teams to maximize performance and support career growth
