The Manager, Distribution Partnerships & DTC for Spanish-speaking Latin America supports the growth of Universal+ across Mexico and the broader Spanish-speaking Latin American region through the development and management of strategic distribution partnerships. Reporting directly to the VP of Distribution Partnerships & DTC, this role is responsible for identifying partnership opportunities, managing existing partner relationships, executing commercial initiatives, and supporting subscriber and revenue growth objectives.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, commercially driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. This position requires strong knowledge of the digital streaming ecosystem, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners across Latin America. Success in this role will depend on leveraging market data, consumer insights, and performance metrics to support commercial decision-making and optimize partnership performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and manage distribution partnerships across Mexico and Spanish-speaking Latin America, including opportunities with digital media companies, retailers, financial institutions, gaming platforms, hospitality partners, OEMs, CTV platforms, and other digital ecosystems.
  • Develop commercial proposals and partnership recommendations that support subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth objectives.
  • Support the development and execution of monetization initiatives, including revenue-sharing models, co-marketing campaigns, subscription offers, and bundled distribution programs.
  • Monitor and report on commercial and operational KPIs related to partnership performance, subscriber growth, revenue generation, customer engagement, and profitability.
  • Conduct financial analysis, ROI assessments, market research, and business case development to support evaluation of new partnership opportunities and commercial initiatives.
  • Manage partnership negotiations and contract execution in coordination with Legal, Finance, and senior leadership, helping secure commercially sound agreements while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop client-facing presentations, commercial proposals, sales materials, and partnership recommendations that effectively communicate the Universal+ value proposition.
  • Coordinate the execution of partnership campaigns and initiatives focused on subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth. Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations based on agreed KPIs and performance insights.
  • Manage day-to-day partner relationships, serving as a primary point of contact and helping ensure successful execution of commercial commitments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Research teams to support partnership objectives and deliver business results.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in partnership management, business development, account management, strategic alliances, OTT/streaming, digital media, technology, telecommunications, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing commercial partnerships across Spanish-speaking Latin America, with strong knowledge of the Mexican market.
  • Strong understanding of the digital streaming ecosystem, including OTT distribution, CTV platforms, subscription business models, digital distribution strategies, and platform monetization.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce performance metrics, including CPA, CAC, CPM, CPC, ROAS, LTV, conversion, churn, retention, engagement, and subscriber growth metrics.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience conducting business analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, performance tracking, and ROI evaluations.
  • Experience preparing commercial proposals, executive presentations, sales materials, and business cases for prospective partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience managing commercial negotiations, contracts, and partner relationships in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (financial modeling, reporting, dashboards, and scenario analysis) and PowerPoint and Co-Pilot. Experience with Canva or similar design tools is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Latin American media, digital commerce, and streaming landscape, with the ability to identify commercial opportunities across multiple markets.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with external partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required. Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
