Dematic is seeking a Maintenance Leader for our Monterrey-area manufacturing facility. You will lead maintenance, reliability, and safety programs to keep equipment running at peak performance.

This role requires hands-on expertise with PLCs, tube cutting equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and a coaching leadership style. You will develop PM and corrective maintenance plans, mentor technicians, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams to improve OEE and reduce

Formación

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise in PLCs, tube cutting equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Fully bilingual English and Spanish (written and verbal).

Responsabilidades

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC issues.
• Maintain tube cutting equipment, CNC machinery, and automated systems.
• Develop and improve maintenance standards, work instructions, and troubleshoot guides.
• Manage spare parts inventory and cost control.
• Provide advanced PLC support and collaborate to improve automation and cycle times.
• Support upgrades, retrofits, and new equipment installations.
• Lead and develop maintenance technicians; promote teamwork with cross-functional teams.
• Enforce safety standards, lockout/tagout, and environmental regulations; drive continuous improvement.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Leader is responsible for leading all maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role requires strong hands‑on technical expertise in PLC systems, tube cutting equipment, hydraulic systems, and both preventive and corrective maintenance, combined with a coaching leadership style, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Reliability

• Lead and execute preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC‑related issues.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of tube cutting equipment, CNC machinery, and automated systems.
• Develop and continuously improve maintenance standards, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability while controlling costs.

Controls & Automation

• Provide advanced technical support for PLC systems (programming, troubleshooting, and optimization).
• Work with engineering and production teams to improve automation, cycle times, and equipment performance.
• Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new equipment installations.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and specialists.
• Promote a coaching mentality, encouraging problem‑solving, technical growth, and accountability.
• Foster strong teamwork and collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams.
• Set clear expectations and respond with urgency to equipment breakdowns and operational issues.

Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure full compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE and downtime reduction.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support lean manufacturing and reliability‑centered maintenance practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in:
  • PLC systems (troubleshooting and programming)
  • Tube cutting equipment
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams in high‑volume or automated manufacturing operations.
• Fully bilingual (English & Spanish) – written and verbal.
