Job summary

Cognizant in Guadalajara, Mexico is seeking an experienced Production Control Analyst to monitor and manage enterprise mainframe production environments. You will perform real-time z/OS console monitoring, Control-M workload management, batch processing support, and incident resolution for 24x7 services.

You will collaborate with Application Support, System Programming, Database, Network, Security, Middleware, and Business Operations teams to ensure timely batch completion and uninterrupted

Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe environments and 24x7 production operations.
• Familiarity with z/OS and Control-M scheduling.
• Ability to perform Level-1 operational support and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor z/OS consoles and dashboards; identify alerts and abnormal conditions.
• Oversee Control-M batch workloads; ensure jobs run within service windows.
• Create and manage batch schedules; migrate schedules across environments.
• Handle incidents and coordinate bridge calls; support recovery activities.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and validation.
