Job summary

Alila Mayakoba seeks a Director of Sales to act as the on-property commercial leader and deputy to the Director of Sales and Marketing. You will drive performance across group, MICE, corporate, social, leisure, and wedding opportunities, translating strategy into daily execution.

The role demands building a high-performing sales culture, accountability, and confident communication with owners and senior leadership across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience.
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and leading group and MICE in a luxury hotel environment.
• Ability to translate strategy into account priorities, pipeline activity, forecasts, and measurable team performance.
• Experience leading a multi-person sales team, including oversight of ~10 team members or comparable scope.
• Confident presenting to owners, asset managers, and senior stakeholders with clear commercial reasoning.
• Strong knowledge of luxury market segments, group and event business, distribution channels, Hyatt channels, and global travel networks.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and time-management skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation, results focus, and sound commercial judgment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Lanyon, CVENT, Envision/Delphi, Travelclick and sales-reporting systems.
