General Motors de México seeks a Maintenance Group Leader to manage a small to medium team responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment and facilities in line with GM maintenance systems.

This on-site, full-time role requires coordinating checks, implementing solutions, and ensuring safety and quality standards while guiding a team through rotating 4x3 shifts and cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 1 year in a similar role (2–5 years preferred).
  • Intermediate English with ability to have technical conversations.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts (4x3).
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience leading teams.
  • Experience with CNC machining, PLCs and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of FANUC and Siemens CNC controls.
  • Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Rockwell and Siemens.

Work Appropriately

On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis

Responsibilities
  • You will conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicate evaluation of results.
  • Recommends solutions to problems
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
  • Meets schedule and quality requirements
  • Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
  • Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
  • Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
  • Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project. Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or any related engineering field, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within maintenance or manufacturing environments (2–5 years preferred).
  • Intermediate level of English, with the ability to hold a technical conversation.
  • Availability and flexibility to work rotating shifts (4x3 schedule).
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Proven experience leading work teams
  • Experience with CNC Machining, PLCs, and electrical system
  • Knowledge of FANUC and Siemens CNC controls
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of robotic cell configurations, automation systems, and basic robot programming or handling.
