Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Manager, Technical Revenue Accounting to support complex revenue arrangements, new product offerings, and policy alignment across its businesses. You will apply ASC 606, evaluate terms, and translate conclusions into practical implementation requirements.

This individual contributor role partners with cross-functional teams to assess contracts, advise on alternatives, and help ensure accurate revenue recognition, controls, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Six or more years of relevant accounting experience, including ASC 606.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to research unfamiliar issues.
• Experience reviewing commercial contracts and identifying implications.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Experience in public accounting or industry technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical revenue accounting assessments under ASC 606 and related guidance.
• Advise on commercial arrangements, review proposed contracts, and evaluate alternatives.
• Document accounting conclusions in memos and position papers.
• Support acquisition integration aligning policies with DoorDash standards.
• Translate accounting conclusions into billing, revenue recognition, and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain revenue accounting policies, processes, and controls.
• Support audits and quarterly/annual financial reporting with leadership and auditors.
• Manage projects independently with clear timelines and escalation when needed.
