Safe-Demo in Chihuahua, Mexico is seeking a Project Engineer to lead planning, development, and launch of new automotive projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in automotive industry in engineering roles.

Responsabilidades

• Lead tooling projects to meet quality, budget, and timing targets with APQP milestones.
• Assist plant personnel with setup, troubleshooting, and debugging of molding equipment.
• Interpret customer designs and drawings to evaluate production viability and mold changes.
• Manage PPAP documentation, oversee trials, coordinate sample shipments, ensure handover.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to achieve quality goals.

At Safe-Demo, we are looking for a Project Engineer to lead the planning, development, and launch of new automotive projects. In this role, you will manage tooling projects from inception to production, ensuring part quality, timing, and budget targets are met while serving as a key technical liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal production teams.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Automotive Industry in a similar position or within engineering areas.
• Languages: Conversational to advanced English (required) for technical and customer interactions.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Control Methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D designs (proficiency in CAD software preferred).
• Hands-on experience with APQP process leadership and PPAP documentation.
• Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and mold design evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

• Tooling & Project Leadership: Lead tooling projects to meet part quality, budget, and timing targets while keeping overall APQP milestones on schedule.
• Plant & Equipment Support: Assist plant personnel with the set-up, troubleshooting, and debugging of molding equipment and tooling.
• Design & Specification Analysis: Interpret customer design specifications and engineering drawings to evaluate parts for production viability, mold approval, and engineering changes.
• Quality & Handoff: Manage full PPAP documentation, oversee trial runs, coordinate sample shipments, and ensure seamless project handover to production.
• Customer & Supplier Liaison: Interface directly with customers and suppliers as necessary to achieve quality goals and maintain strong technical relations.
