QST Solutions in Mexicali, a manufacturer of automotive sensors, seeks a Project Engineer to lead new product introductions, process changes, and KPI improvements, coordinating resources and schedules to meet cost targets.

You will use APQP, Lean, Six Sigma methodologies, and work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to deliver on time, within budget, and with quality standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
• 3–4 years of manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Experience as a program manager or lean manufacturing.
• Experience transferring production lines.
• Proficient in English.
• Willing to travel 20–30%.

Responsabilidades

• Involved early in assigned projects.
• Defines and manages required resources for project development.
• Carries out planned work according to the project plan.
• Tracks progress and takes corrective action to stay on budget.
• Documents and reports project progress to stakeholders.
• Ensures all deliverables are delivered to customers and for capacity studies.
• Customer portal, capacity studies project maintenance.

What are we looking for?

The Project Engineer will manage projects involving new product introductions, process change management, KPI improvements, standard costs for materials and assumed overhead updates; Project management tools such as Project Management, APQP, Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

Activities of the position

• Early involvement in assigned projects.
• Defines and manages the required resources for the development of the projects (human resources, financial resources, material resources)
• Carries out the planned work according to the project plan.
• Tracks project progress, identifying potential issues, and taking corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
• Document and report project progress internally, to corporative and to customers
• Make sure that all project deliverables are delivered to stakeholders.
• Customer portal, Capacity studies project maintenance.

Qualifications

• Manufacture engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience
• Expertise as a Program manager, Lean Manufacturing, or Industrial engineer
• Expertise in transferring lines of production
• Knowledge in KPI's
• English (proficient or professional)
• Available to travel (20 to 30 % of the activities)
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering
• Auto or mechanical industry (not required)
• Green belt six sigma or lean manufacturing (not required)
• Certification as a Program manager, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing (not required)
