Placements24 is seeking an experienced Ingeniero/a de Datos Senior to join a globally distributed, fully remote team. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, optimize ETL/ELT processes, and manage data warehousing for analytics and ML initiatives.

Mentorship of junior engineers and strategic data initiatives are also part of the role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, and hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Data Factory).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT tools.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and database design.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
