Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Ingeniero/a de Datos Senior to join a globally distributed, fully remote team. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, optimize ETL/ELT processes, and manage data warehousing for analytics and ML initiatives.

Mentorship of junior engineers and strategic data initiatives are also part of the role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, and hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering or similar role.
• Strong SQL, relational and NoSQL experience.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Proficiency in Python/Scala/Java.
• Hands-on with AWS/Azure/GCP data services.
• Data warehousing, ETL/ELT knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication; remote work capable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest data into data warehouses and data lakes.
• Implement and manage data warehousing solutions, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Develop data models and schemas to support analytical needs.
• Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize.
