Job summary

Copeland is seeking an IT Technician – Analyst to support and maintain the manufacturing IT infrastructure. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and help integrate IT with production equipment to improve plant reliability.

The role covers MES/ERP interfaces, SCADA, and office IT, with on-site work in the manufacturing environment. Collaboration with IT, engineering, and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2 years of IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, and Active Directory.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems, industrial PCs, and production IT hardware.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, industrial Ethernet, firewalls).
• Hands-on experience with handheld scanners, label printers, and production-related IT devices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in a production-critical environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams (IT, Engineering, Operations).

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level IT support for hardware, software, and network issues across manufacturing and office environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with end-user devices, including PCs, IPCs, tablets, handheld scanners, printers, and labelers.
• Support and maintain manufacturing-specific applications (MES, ERP interfaces, SCADA, production monitoring systems).
• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining PCs, servers, industrial switches, and shop floor IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts, access control, and security compliance (Active Directory, ERP systems).
• Monitor uptime of IT infrastructure supporting automated lines.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate IT systems with production machinery.
• Maintain backups and recovery procedures for production systems.
