HSBC Holdings plc is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the IBM Mainframe Z platform, including z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS and IWS. The role focuses on delivering high availability for critical banking services and driving modernization of the mainframe environment.

You will manage a team of engineers, collaborate with Core Enterprise Platform leaders, and ensure robust disaster recovery and performance across the zSeries stack.

Formación

• Experience as Infrastructure system programmer in banking/financial services.
• Strong technical knowledge of IBM Mainframe Z platforms and related tools.
• Hands-on COBOL programming with embedded SQL and modern DevOps practices.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure availability and continuity of the bank's critical services.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of:

Reporting to the Core Enterprise Platform Country or Technology Head. Leading all aspects of IBM Mainframe Z platform, which provides high availability products and services supporting critical business functions within HSBC through service, commercial, technology and people leadership

This role will Scale & Resilience accelerating the build out and development of a world-class IBM Mainframe Z capability that attracts, nurtures and retains talent

The person in this role will be commercially astute, an excellent communicator and able to partner strongly with other leaders in Core Enterprise Platform.

Main Activities:

• Oversee all technical and operational aspects of the platform.
• Ensure the availability and continuity of the bank's critical services.
• Manage components such as z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS, and IWS.

Requirements:

• IBM Mainframe Z core knowledge: z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS, IWS
• IBM Mainframe Z knowledge: DFHSM, DFDSS, ICKDSF, DFSMS (inc OAM), RMM, AAM (Advanced Allocation Manager), TDMF, GDPS, CSM, Omegamon for Storage
• Broadcom (CA): CA1, CA Vantage, CA Disk, CA Allocate, CA View, Endeavor
• Proven experience as Infrastructure system programmer in a banking or financial services organization
• Strong technical knowledge of relevant technologies and DevOps ways of working
• Knowledge of zSeries Systems Programming concepts and technologies
• Hands on experience on COBOL programming with incrusted SQL
• Strong ability to balance risks and maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business
