Job summary

Latino Legends is seeking a Financial and Operational Compliance Coordinator to join our client-facing team in Mexico City. You will ensure all financial and operational requirements have owners, deadlines, and verified evidence of completion across properties and entities.

Initially, the role also encompasses the Collections Specialist seat, overseeing delinquency tracking, site procedures, bond recoveries, and agency referrals to maximize recoveries while maintaining strict controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial or operational compliance, property administration, or control/audit reviews with corrective actions.
• Ability to check approval records, review balances, verify compliance evidence, and build complete claim files.
• Clear written and spoken English to coordinate deadlines with internal teams and external vendors.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and shared cloud filing systems.
• Detail-oriented with handling confidential financial/resident data.
• Nice-to-haves: lender/insurance compliance, property software like Yardi, bond claims, eviction processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a requirements register for financial and operational compliance with deadlines and owners.
• Coordinate submissions for lender, insurance, tax, license, and contract documents, ensuring receipt before deadlines.
• Keep inspection records, filings, and certificates up to date while tracking renewals.
• Review financial approvals and records to spot missing evidence or gaps.
• Follow up on corrective actions and escalate overdue items to the Controller.
• Oversee delinquency tracking, site procedures, bond recoveries, and agency referrals to maximize recoveries.
