Job summary

Thomson Reuters Corp. in Mexico City is seeking a Software Engineer on the Litigation Drafting team to help build the next generation of AI-powered tools for legal professionals.

The role emphasizes back-end work with opportunities to gain front-end experience toward full-stack development. You will design backend services with Python, FastAPI and PostgreSQL, integrate with OpenAI or other LLMs, and contribute to scalable pipelines.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend & Cloud Skills: Working knowledge of Python and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong debugging skills and ability to deliver production-ready, reliable systems.
• Collaborative with strong communication in fast-paced, iterative environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI agentic features end to end from requirements to production.
• Design and build backend services using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
• Productionize AI capabilities by integrating with LLM providers and building reliable pipelines.
• Use AI tooling to enhance your work and contribute to AI-enabled product features.
• Diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain CI/CD and test coverage.
• Collaborate across Product, Design, and Labs teams and help others grow.
