Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Software Engineer for the AIApply team in Mexico City. You will contribute to building AI agentic features for legal professionals, focusing on backend services using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL, with opportunities to gain frontend experience for full-stack growth.

You’ll work with modern AI tooling, participate in design discussions, and help improve CI/CD, observability, and reliability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with performance optimization for backend systems or large-scale data flows.
• Familiarity with AI-powered product features and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI Agentic features end to end from requirement to production.
• Design and build backend services with Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
• Productionize AI capabilities with RAG pipelines, LLM APIs, and orchestration.
