Job summary

ABB in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco, Mexico, seeks an HSE professional to strengthen health, safety, and environmental performance in its operations. You will apply in-depth HSE knowledge to assess risks and provide solutions, supporting a high-performance culture across the ABB value chain.

You will report to the HSE Manager and collaborate with site teams to drive incident investigations and continuous improvement in construction environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience in construction projects or building construction environments.
• Experience working with construction workers.
• Experience with industrial warehouse construction projects (naves industriales).

Responsibilities

• Report HSE incidents to management and relevant stakeholders and take appropriate actions.
• Facilitate, assist, and provide guidance on incident investigations to learn how to mitigate risks.
• Provide feedback to management and employees on lessons learned and best practices across ABB.
• Support and drive behavioral change through local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to the NEMA Motors division in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
• Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
• Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
• Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
