Job summary

Sonoco in Mexico is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with plant leadership to deliver people programs, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. You will support compensation processes, performance coaching, and labor relations in unionized settings where applicable.

This role focuses on creating an inclusive work environment, using data to drive improvements, and ensuring training and policy adherence across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Oversees compensation changes and communication of wage increases.
• Ensures compliance with employment law and HR regulations, and trains teams.
• Leads talent management, coaching for performance improvement, and development plans.
• Manages employee relations, engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Supports plant recruiting, onboarding, and continuous improvement programs.
• Partner with COE and Field HR to drive HR initiatives and data-driven action plans.
• Manages union relations and contract administration where applicable.
