Job summary

Sonoco in Toluca, Mexico is seeking a Generalist I in Plant HR to support compensation, compliance, talent management, and employee relations at the MEX Toluca site. You will partner with plant leadership to coach performance, manage recruitment, onboarding, and HR processes ensuring policy adherence.

As a key member of the HR team, you will implement local HR programs, conduct training, handle workforce relations, and collaborate with corporate HR and COEs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
• Experience designing and implementing compensation programs
• Experience in end-to-end recruitment and onboarding
• Ability to coach performance improvements with leadership
• Collaborates with COEs, plant leadership and Field HR Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversees talent management for the plant in collaboration with COEs and leadership.
• Develops coaching plans for performance improvement and career progression.
• Manages employee relations, engagement and inclusion activities at the plant.
• Supports plant recruiting, onboarding and orientation processes.
• Partners with corporate HR, COEs and Workday/SIMON systems for HR operations.
• Ensures policy compliance and conducts relevant training across the site.
